articles on the Philippines, Filipinos, Philippine society and
culture, and conceptual or theoretical papers that promote
the understanding of these topics and of the discipline. Peer reviewed,

Contributions to the PSR

The Philippine Sociological Review invites manuscript
submissions from prospective authors.
Standard length is 7,000 to 10,000 words but shorter or
longer contributions may be considered. Manuscripts must be
electronically prepared using Word 2007 or compatible text
format, typed double-spaced and in Times New Roman, 12-point
font size. Margins should be at least 1 inch on all four sides.
Submissions must include an abstract of 150-250 words
summarizing the findings and arguments of the article
and, at most, five key words on a separate page without
author information. Title, author’s name, affiliation(s) and
contact addresses must be written on a separate sheet.
Submissions must follow the ASA Style Guide (4th ed., 2010).
Research notes and book reviews are also welcome.
Manuscript must conform to the style guidelines. Submission
will undergo a refereeing process. The editor reserves the rights
to request revisions to manuscripts, suggest or make appropriate
changes, and postpone or decline publication.
